2008 Reception
Voices Against Violence
Thanks to our sponsors who made this fund-raising campaign successful. $105,000 was raised to fund the initiative!

Chief Justice Sue Bell Cobb gave the keynote address at the Voices Against Violence reception on September 18th. She asked area judges to come forward to be recognized for the role they play in holding perpetrators of domestic violence accountable for their crimes. The reception was attended by over 300 area lawyers, judges and other business men and women.

Judges were the honored guests of The Women's Fund.
2008 Leadership
The Women’s Fund’s 2008t Giving Circle, Voices Against Violence, was composed of professional and civic-minded women, primarily women engaged in the practice of law in the Birmingham area. TWF Board members Julie Russell, Ph.D., and Robin Adams of Maynard, Cooper & Gale, PC, co-chaired the Giving Circle. Frances King Quick, Adams and Reese, LLP and Laura Peck, Starnes & Atchison, LLP served as community co-chairs.
